I Love The Lord!
Categories: Faith

One of my goals during this break from Mozambique was to record some of my songs. It didn’t work out quite as well as I had hoped but I was able to do some recording and collaborating and learn quite a bit about writing and recording music. Especially helpful was the Christian Songwriter’s Network. If you’ve ever complained about Contemporary Christian music, check out some of the music available at this site. There’s some terrific stuff being produced out there. Also worth noting is sharesong.org where musicians are making their songs available free of charge.

One of my songs, I Love The Lord! is now available at sharesong.org. You can listen to it and download lyrics with chords. If you like it, you can even vote for it or send me an encouraging message. If you don’t like it… just don’t say anything!

At the top of this page is a link to My Songs.  Look there for links to my songs in a variety of locations on the Internet.

I Love The Lord! is based on the NIV translation of Psalm 116.

I love the Lord

by David Ker – Copyright © 2006 (based on Psalm 116)

I love the Lord for he heard my voice.

He heard my cry for mercy.

I love the Lord for he heard my voice.

Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.

The cords of death entangled me.

The anguish of the grave came upon me.

I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

Then I called on the name of the Lord, “O Lord, save me!”

LAST TIME:

I love the Lord. He saved me!

I love the Lord. He saved me!

I love the Lord. I love the Lord!
