The final countdown has begun. Our family gets on a plane and heads for Africa next Monday. We’ve had an extended stay in the US because I was diagnosed back in March with tuberculosis. Thankfully that turned out to be a false diagnosis. Despite many tests they never discovered what caused the damage to my lungs in 2003 but the doctors are pretty certain that nothing is active. The good news is that I am breathing fine and feeling very healthy.
Thanks to everyone for a lot of blogging fun over the last 10 months. This has been a mind-expanding experience for me. I look forward to keeping up blogging as much as possible while in Mozambique but due to slow connection speeds I probably won’t be as active as I have been in the last several months.
When I get back to Mozambique I expect to be insanely busy working with the churches in Tete on the Nyungwe Bible translation. I can’t wait!
I appreciate your prayers for me and my family as we do a lot of packing and traveling in the next two weeks.

Bon voyage, mon ami. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
Mercy buckets to you, Eddie. I enjoy your (pl) blog.
[...] I usually agree with my blogger friend Lingamish, and I regret that I will not have time to meet him in person when he passes through London next week on his way back to Mozambique. [...]
