The immediate problem with this badge is that it’s TOO BIG. It’s not the same standard as regular web badges (such as the FYI Britannica badge).

But I see the enlarged Wiki Head badge as symbolic of the entire problem with the wikipedia. It is a resource bloated by useless and sometimes incorrect information, and worse it achieves a sense of purpose far beyond the reality for what it is.

    Bloat on, Wiki Heads!

    P. S. Britannica Rules!!

What you call bloat is actually The Long Tail (You’ll have to look that up at Wikipedia since it’s not found at the Brit). Information useless to a theologian trapped in a cubicle is useful to lots of us out here in the real world. And as far as the outrageous “incorrect” label, we’ve already dispensed with that myth.

I will concede that the badge is too large, but that has more to do with my aging eyes than any kind of Internet standard.

Maybe a techie type could make a proper badge for us.
