As you may have seen from my psalms blog (drmacdonald.blogspot.com) I like to see and read psalms and make diagrams of them based on the structure. I am almost half way through - and I hope to do a study of psalm 119 when I finish the last 6 parts - but that diagram is almost too big to handle. Anyway, psalm away - I will be reading. I think the psalms are where we really meet each other in the faith - Jew & Christian & people of all sorts. Nowhere else do I find the invitation to covenant dialogue more honestly expressed. So don't forget the enemies and the laments - even if making such enemies was partly your own fault!

I just finished reading ( not really finished but through the first time) "Christ- The sum of all spiritual things" by Watchman Nee.

I think his point is that Christ is everything. When God reveals to us that Christ is everything then we will be able to truly praise Him. We should not seek good traits, humility, generosity, compassion, etc. but only seek to know Christ. When we truly know Him these traits will follow.

Not sure where I am going, but when we seek Him only and not things, like good traits, we will be giving praise to Him.
