I have completed four weeks of posting Prayer for the world posts with a photo and prayer. Up until now I haven’t received word from anyone else who would like to post entries in this series. Also, I haven’t got much feedback from readers that are using it. So, I’m not planning on doing any more posts in this series.
If there is interest, I’d like to hear from two different kinds of people:
- Have you been using these posts to pray for the world?
- Are you interested in posting photos from your part of the world with a prayer?
Please leave your feedback in the comments of this post.
Thanks for your input. The photo is of one of Hilary’s friends, Zirinda. She represents millions of women in Africa who live in poverty and spiritual darkness. What would be your prayer for her?
About Prayer for the world – Other Prayer for the world posts

My bad. I posted a link to your prayers for the world over at my blog. I have been a little “blog burned” the last few weeks and did not catch onto what you are doing.
Keep up the great work!
1. My kids and I look at the pictures, read your prayers and pray with you each week.
I’m TERRIBLE at putting prayers into words. Still, I have appreciated your weekly reminder/awareness/guidance photos and prayers.
So, I’d be willing to do the Prayers for the World going for 4 weeks for America. In my own, limited, wordy way….. I’ve got 4 ideas and will try to get the pictures this week/weekend.
How hard is it to post pictures on WordPress?
Cool. Go for it. Use the “prayer for the world” tag. Photos are easy on WordPress. Good luck! Set the posts to come out on each Monday. Or if you think “Americas” should have its own day, Tuesday is open.
I love these postings and the wonderful pictures. It helps me feel closer to these people and to you, and I do pray for them. I am again sponsoring a young woman for school in Liberia I believe. It only costs $55 for her to go to school for a whole year. Denise would like some pictures of children that you know to put on her web site along with pictures of Cambodian children that she is working to save from a life of slavery. We must stay connected and aware of those who need our prayers and support in the world, and you are our link. Love, Mom
[...] into words? I wonder about this a lot, and wrestled with it in one of my first posts, inspired by Lingamish’s Prayer for the World series and my kids’ spontaneous sentence prayers in response to that post. Each week we have [...]
