This is the summer of identities concealed and liars revealed.
Iyov is outed as really being Larry and possibly Anonymous. Suzanne is also Lady Powerscourt and possibly a complimentarian man impersonating an egalitarian woman. Speaker of Truth is really telling lies which is hyperbolically synonymous with understatement. eclexia appears from nowhere masquerading as no one. Lingamish is lingalingaing and almost certainly lying.

A New World Order Coming: USA & Rome Behind it.
Wayne Leman our avuncular avatar has gone missing.
What can all this mean? Is it the summer slowdown? No, it is the end of the world.
e.e. cummings prophesied this event in this poem:
what if a much of a which of a wind
gives the truth to summer’s lie;
bloodies with dizzying leaves the sun
and yanks immortal stars awry?
Blow king to beggar and queen to seem
(blow friend to fiend: blow space to time)
_when skies are hanged and oceans drowned,
the single secret will still be man
what if a keen of a lean wind flays
screaming hills with sleet and snow:
strangles valleys by ropes of things
and stifles forests in white ago?
Blow hope to terror; blow seeing to blind
(blow pity to envy and soul to mind)
_whose hearts are mountains, roots are trees,
it’s they shall cry hello to the spring
what if a dawn of a doom of a dream
bites this universe in two,
peels forever out of his grave
and sprinkles nowhere with me and you?
Blow soon to never and never to twice
(blow life to isn’t: blow death to was)
_all nothing’s only our hugest home;
the most who die, the more we live.
And so did W.B. Yeats in The Second Coming:
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
There is no “Repent before it is too late.” It is already too late. Things fall apart. The centre cannot hold.
You are suddenly very literary! Have you read Chinua Achebe’s novel?
BTW do I have a blog where I appear as a man? I am trying to think about that. I try to have a practice of thinking about every sentence I write that no one will ever mistake it for a sentence written by a man. That is my tribute to biblical womanhood!
Thanks for promoting me to the position of Larry Summers. As a former Harvard President and Secretary of Treasury, I will attempt to rise to the level of pomposity you demand of me.
PS: I fairly certain, based on my extensive study as Harvard President, that “Suzanne” is male. After you read my my remarks, I’m certain you will agree.
I know that novel but “Things fall apart” is forever associated in my mind with Yeats. But it does have an African connection since I say it often because of the tendency in Africa for things to fall apart.
Regarding the masquerading blogging, I was just being highly speculative ala Weekly World News.
I saw a snippet of this in a pingback and wondered who was calling me a liar. A die-hard PSA “God killed Jesus” type? A patriarchal TNIV hater? What edifices of hyperbole and understatement would I have to erect to respond to them? Then I realised it was only you, Lingamish, and I don’t even have to accuse you of lying in return as you have already admitted it. So I’ll just let this sleeping dog lie!
If Uncle Wayne’s disappearance is a sign of the end of the world, does that mean he has been raptured and all the rest of us have been left behind?
Don’t leave us here! Take us with you!
No, Iyov can’t really be Larry Summers, in his “remarks” Summers uses singular “they”: “On the discouraging side of it, someone remarked once that no economist who had gone to work at the President’s Council of Economic Advisors for two years had done highly important academic work after they returned.”
