A new look at Lingamish
Categories: Uncategorized

Unlike Eddie Arthur, who has completely revamped the look of Kouya Chronicle, I have simply changed the header image. For you lazy people that just read this blog through an RSS feeder you might want to click through and check it out. You can also see the other wizbangs and gadgets that I have put in the sidebar to liven things up here like Flickr photos and a Facebook link.

My wife says this header image gives her a neck ache. It was created (the image not the neck ache) with the Picasa collage function and a little Lingamish wizardry in Publisher. The photos are all of friends of ours in Tete and many of the photos relate to the Nyungwe Bible translation.

I’m happy with the lazy tag. RSS isn’t perfect though, not until they have worked out a way of adding pointless comments without actually having to visit the site. : )

My RSS readers complained that I was only syndicating a snippet so I gave them full text. The result: comments plummeted. Thanks for your pointless comment! You’ve got a point there.

I agree with Hilary. Always go with a simple image, easy to see and enjoy. This one can make you a bit sea sick. I’ll check you out on Facebook, no eh?

All my brilliant creativity and that’s the thanks I get!!! Just because you’re a graphic artist, you think you know everything! ;-) BTW, Think Christian illustrates just what you’re saying.

My very non-technical take is that, yes, the impact of individual pictures is lost in it, but it’s a very cool effect which makes me feel good, though I haven’t got a clue as to what, more specifically, that feeling is, or what aspect of the art makes me feel it! I do like the patchwork quilt feel of it. My first thought when I saw it was actually once again being impressed at all the things you figure out how to do on Wordpress. With limited internet, nonetheless.
