I read this in an email from my mother and thought I’d pass it on to other readers who might have the same experience:

Well, to get back to my point, after a nap, I was bored enough to seek out your blog and, as usual, it provided  me with loads of entertainment and chuckles.   You and your fellow bloggers really know how to have fun!   Perhaps I should invite this SBL to Oregon, even if they went to the beach they would be suitably frozen stiff and have to suffer as they should on these junkets.  [Emphasis mine]

I’m slightly ambivalent on this quote. Is my Mom reading the blog as a cure for boredom or only because she’s so bored that there’s nothing else to do? I happen to know that reading my blog doesn’t even come close to Perry Mason, Murder, She Wrote, or Trading Spaces.
