Hilary and I were married December 5, 1992.

This picture was taken in the Fall of 1992.  Hilary recognized the glasses as “before marriage.” One nice thing about our profession is that you get to take your wife to exotic places for your wedding anniversary. In fifteen years we’ve celebrated anniversaries in seven different countries.

Congratulations on another wonderful year! You are truly the couple that I would love to be like when I am married. I have said it before but Hilary you are my hero; I want to be just like you! Love you~

    Congratulations!

Great glasses. I recently bought a slide scanner (you know, OLD missionaries have lots of slides) and started in on the boxes. I found some photos with glasses like that too.

I thought for a minute it was Sally-Jessie Raphael in the photo. Congrats to you and many blessing be upon your lovely bride!

Oh, yes, those hideous glasses. I would like to be good enough at Photo Shop to delete very similar ones from some of my photos from the early 90s.

Congratulations! And, I agree with Joni. Hilary, you are an amazing woman and one of my heroes. I’m so blessed to count both of you among my friends and have so many memories with your delightful family.

Blessings and happy anniversary. Your marriage is a great witness to the kingdom of God.

Thanks all. We had a very strange and joyous celebration surrounded by children while nursing a colleague sick with malaria who kept barfing. Very romantic!

  7. John Hobbins says:

Happy anniversary, David and Hilary. Family, malaria, and barf rolled into one. That pretty much sums it up.
