Zambezia bridge and boys

On our recent trip from Nampula to Tete it was nice to only take pictures of rickety bridges rather than having to find some way of traveling over them. The road is remarkably better than it was even a year ago. But compared to ten years ago it’s like traveling the autobahn. We traveled from Nampula to Milange on the Malawi border in eight and a half hours.

These boys were hanging out by the water without a care while we zipped by.

A nice photo, but the same one as we saw before, no bridge, water or boys. You may have a literal autobahn, but I guess your Internet highway is not quite up to scratch yet.

Whoops. I’ll try to fix that when our Internet comes back.

  4. Peter Kirk says:

Thanks for fixing the photo. Fixing the bridge would be a bigger job, but I presume you mean it was not necessary as there is now a new bridge.

  5. Carl Holmes says:

Just call it the faith bridge. Walk on it like you walk on water… by faith.

  6. Peter Kirk says:

Ah, but did Lingamish in fact have the faith to “zip” across that with his family? If so, he is a better man than me!
