Mulange Mountain and Flame Trees

In a sea of tea fields, these flame trees were a lovely sight. In fact everything in the highlands of Malawi is lovely at this time of the year. Especially if you’ve just escaped from the north of Mozambique where everything is brown and barren.

That is an incredibly beautiful picture!
I never grasped how essential color is till I lived in a dry, brown place without it for several months at a time. I was sharing that with someone a while ago, and they responded that they had just read some research on how we are affected by color in similar ways to how we are affected by sunlight.
