Thanks to those of you who have been joining in the conversation about homosexuality in a Christian belief system. There continues to be quite a divergence of opinion but I’ve appreciated learning what others think on this topic.

Drew encourages us in this admonition: “As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.” That’s good advice when confronting such a divisive topic.
I confess that I haven’t moved significantly in my beliefs on this topic but it has been a privilege to sharpen my thinking with brothers and sisters in Christ. I have a nagging suspicion that my biases are blinding me to some important truths on this topic. Will I have the courage to face that?
I think that’s a wise question for us all in the matter – no matter where we stand. As long as we are all humble before God and each other I think we will be OK.

Has anyone looked up the relevant verses in Romans, or Leviticus (CH 18), or any of the other books that touch on this topic before commenting?
