This week’s LINGIES go to an edgy and unusual crowd, many of which I have failed to mention before on this blog. So I thought I’d tweak the LINGY with a bit of “edge detect” filter.

Many of these LINGIES go to people who linked to my controversial post “Why American Christians look so stupid and what you can do about it.” I won’t link to all the people that got all excited about that post but there was a strong current of anti-evangelicalism and absolutely nobody called my bluff. I got off easy.

But enough stalling, let’s get to the awards:

1. A ‘Goula Blogger: Chuck Grantham is a prolific blogger and entertaining commenter. I spent a year in Louisiana and it is still my favorite part of the South. Chuck blogrolled me daggum. How nice is that?!?
2. JPS at Idle musings of a bookseller: Another blogroller. Perhaps most stunning is the photo on his profile of him being attacked by a vicious beast. Being a bookseller I suppose the cat is mandatory.
3. Elizabeth at ThinkOnIt Devotions: One of the classier designs for a blog that I’ve seen and of course having Lingamish in the blogroll adds a touch of spice.
4. Bishop Alan: Scary, profane and devout. What’s the deal with these Anglicans? As a group they’re the best bloggers in Christendom. Pentecostals are the worst (with the exception of yours truly).
5. Ted at Jesus Community: The Steady Teddy of the Blogosphere. No ranting and raving at this site just quiet cup-o-tea reflections on living in the Jesus Community.
6. Bob at Sufficiency: I don’t just love Bob because he reminds me of my Canadian friend Jerry. A truly unique voice and an insane devotion to the Psalter.
7. Ashley at Secher Nbiw: (S)he is named Ashley, has a profile photo of a man and her blog name and URL also don’t match. Ashley’s one of these people that I’d never cross paths for if it weren’t for the bloggy world.
8. Goedelovig at Goedgelovig.nl: Check out this great quote: “Hij krijgt daarom steun vanuit de bloggingwereld.” I’m honored. Really.
9. Mike at clusterflock: This is such a great looking blog that it doesn’t really matter what Mike posts. At first I thought it was tumblr, another platform utilized to stunning effect by…
10. Norman at Nervous Acid: I believe Tumblr is the sneaker wave of the future. But I’m still enjoying playing on the WordPress waterslide. All the Blogger folks in the kiddie pool seem to be having fun as well.

And this week, a special honorable mention LINGY award to the vocalically challenged Matt Wardman at The Wire.
