I’ve decided to install Ubuntu on my super-fast Dell Latitude and escape the swamps of Vista without having to purchase one of those over-priced Nintendos for grownups called Apples.

If it’s any consolation to you Vista and Apple lovers, I am suffering greatly. But rather than inflict you with the saga I am posting details of the process on my lingalinga blog. You can follow the gruesome details here: http://lingalinga.wordpress.com/category/vista2ubuntu/

Warning: Some strong language and disturbing images.

Sweet. Not the struggles, so much. But Thursday night I installed Ubuntu on my MacBook, but just for now via VirtualBox. I have to figure out how to dual boot on this without bootcamp (just don’t have it). But I have liked much of what I’ve seen so far in Ubuntu.
