The most dangerous Bible bloggers of 2008
Categories: Bible

The blogging award season has begun… Eddie Arthur did not name me his favourite blogger this year. Although I got that honour last year. So I’m in a funk. Ticked even. Trouble is I’m not even my favorite blogger anymore. Well, this blog still represents all that’s best and brightest of blogdom but even so life in civilization does make for some doldrums…

TC on the other hand did nominate me as his most fascinating blogger of the year. There are some other people on that list that I’ve never heard of but that’s fine.

I can’t really think of any great bloggers. There are boring bloggers. And cat bloggers. There are bloggers that even cats find boring. But dangerous bloggers. I can think of a few of those. These folks have dangerous minds. They have dangerous ideas. Their heresies and blasphemies and ironies and ravings and whining are just plain scary. I read them and I tremble. I try to avoid them but I’m drawn back again for another look.

Stay away.

Run from these folks. Some of them should be locked up. Some should have their computers pounded into powder and fed to them in a milkshake of mental madness. Some of them, if you read them might shake your foundations. They might dislodge your dogmas. You might find your favorite icons clasted. Or maybe not.

The remaining awards all go to blogs that were not dangerous but simply boring. I’m not going to link to them because I can’t remember any of their names.

Oh dear, I’m not listed, despite my support for the violent Todd Bentley. I must obviously work on being more dangerous! Or perhaps just on being more biblical.

Pete, now that you mention it…

  11. I am honored, and I think I got the best of the warning labels (apart from yours, David, but that one it uniquely appropriate to your blog). Thanks!

Hippos are happy to just grunt at each other in their own hippo language.

BTW, the signs were found by searching for “Danger Sign” in Google Images.
