Cyber-Psalm 60
Categories: Cyber-Psalm

An empty taxi arrived and out of it stepped Attlee.

attributed to Winston Churchill

It is not good for the man to be alone.

Genesis 2:18, NIV

spastic monastic

I’m the spastic monastic.
My personality is elastic.
Community is fantastic.
But to be alone would be drastic.

Alone in a room with God.
Just silence and my fidgeting bod.
My prayers seem like a fraud.
The number one is odd.

Others are not a distraction.
Fellowship doesn’t equal fraction.
The body can only take action
If the members have interaction.

Breaking bread and washing feet.
Singing and sharing when we meet.
Tongues of fire descend with heat.
And God walks into the room.
