This just dawned on me. Twitter is like CB Radio.
It’s blabbing into the void and you don’t know who might be listening. But eventually somebody answers and you strike up a conversation. You don’t really care if others can hear what you’re saying. But if someone has “got their ears on” it’s a nice way to stay awake on a late night drive or maybe gets some tips on road conditions or a Smokey hiding near an overpass.
Even so, I don’t really care that the chili dog gave you gas. Give me some real information. Focus your tweets because I’ve got a lot of noise to sift through and if you are just babbling I’m going to drop you like a hot rock. That’s why most of my tweets are just post titles from my blogs. You might think it’s cheating. But I can promise you that if you follow my feed you’ll get more signal than noise. That is if you care about the kind of signal I’m sending.
Over, roger. 10-40.
