What’s not to like about this man?
Scott isn’t vulgar. He’s stinking funny.
For some reason I had it in my head that Scotteriology was a hellhole of expletives and mental filth. But after scanning several pages I can’t really find anything to complain about. He uses a few naughty words, but I’m a linguist and that doesn’t bother me. He makes fun of Christian idiocy. That is a really good thing to do. His video series on bad preachers and his ongoing smackdown between Jesus and Mary appearances is really top notch. I laughed several times in that sort of huh-snort way that usually only happens when I’m reading my own blog. But surely there’s something in my subconscious that leads me to summarily dismiss his blog.
Scott asked me to outline my beef against him and his blog and so…
Things I hate about Scott:
10. Canada.
9. The demonic avatar.
8. He’s ten times more popular than I am.
7. The BS awards. Ewwww.
6. He gets to write funny posts while I have to work for a living.
5. Scotteriology sounds like a urological disorder involving sensitive tissues.
4. The demonic avatar
3. All those YouTube videos
2. The demonic avatar
1. I always thought the avatar was a little fox on top of a skull
OK, Scott. I’m sorry. I take it back. You’re not vulgar. You’re terrific. Really.

And Elton John sings, “Can you fel the love tonight…”
Thanks David. You did have me a tad perplexed with the too vulgar thing. I mean there’s no way I’m PG but I can assure you that after many years of playing professional sports I am definitely of the belief that vulgar speech is the refuge of the mentally lazy.
As to the avatar: it is a comic book character named The Punisher. However, there have been so many negative comments directed at it lately it may be time to come up with a new avatar.
Phew, equilibrium restored.
Well, I’d hate to have The Punisher on my bad side. I’ve heard that people like psychedelic aquatic animals weighing in excess of seven thousand kilos for their avatars…
