BBC News: Q&A: Mozambique goes to the polls
Good news about this election:
- Campaigning has been relatively free of violence.
- Simango has created some buzz and national dialogue.
Bad news about this election:
- Widespread voter intimidation
- Almost certain vote fraud
I call Simango the African Obama because, although he won’t win this election, he’s appearing on the scene now (much like Obama did at the Democratic Convention in 2004) and if everything goes well he should be a real political option in 2014.
Praise the Lord for peaceful elections in Mozambique and pray that God might bless this country with righteousness and prosperity.
