In honor of my friends at SBL in New Orleans.
Categories: Fun

Before there was August Rush, Stanley Jordan was a child prodigy transforming the six string on street corners. Back in 1986, I first saw him in concert in New Orleans with Bobby McFerrin and Wynton Marsallis.

By the way, the guitarist who plays for Evan in August Rush is Kaki King, an amazing acoustic guitarist in the tradition of Michael Hedges and Preston Reed.

At least watch a few seconds of this footage in which Stanley plays on two guitars at the same time. I have enough trouble keeping control of one.

Saw Stanley Jordan back in the 80s too.
