I’m pondering a new series of posts on producing songs in GarageBand. I’ve written and recorded songs for a long time but the truth is I hate gadgets and all the recording process. I know some people like fiddling with levels and effects and mixing instruments but I’m far too impatient for that. The result unfortunately is that a lot of my songs don’t have a proper recording. So, since someone gave our family an iPad1 and I promptly claimed it as my own I’m able to use GarageBand, a program I have made fun of on this very blog. But now I’m going to actually try the app and then maybe I’ll be able to criticize it!
The vague format I have in mind is just posting an audio file and talking briefly about what I did. Hmmm, that sounds like a lot of work. Maybe I’ll podcast this. I’ll have to think about that.
Stay tuned for Episode 1 of GarageBad.

I’ve just recently got the GarageBand app too, and like the way you can import a sound clip you created somehow else, and then add vocals or other things to it. I hope you have a good experience with it, and look forward to what you share!
